Wednesday, August 21 program offers the fundamental principles of sustainability in the arts.

New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) is pleased to offer an opportunity for artists in all disciplines to participate in the latest version of our Artist as Entrepreneur” Program, established in 2010. This program has evolved over the years, adjusting to current trends in order to be relevant to the field, and has impacted thousands of artists locally, nationally, and internationally.

The “Artist As Entrepreneur” Program offers the fundamental principles of sustainability—and ultimately profitability—in the arts. This includes topics such as strategic planning, fundraising, and marketing, with additional material drawn from NYFA’s popular textbook The Profitable Artist (Allworth Press, 2018). The structure is a blend of formal lectures and breakout groups. Participants work through a flexible and dynamic “action plan,” which provides a blueprint for your practice or specific projects. Connect with other artists as you build the business skills essential to supporting your creative career.

The program benefits artists of all disciplines and stages of their career who are looking to identify new ways of thinking and approaching their career, while seeking a community of like minded artists.
