Event | You vs. Your Online Profile

How does the web see you? Join us on Thursday, November 29 to investigate your online identity as an artist!

Open to artists of all disciplines, “You vs. Your Online Profile” is a discussion-based workshop for artists to analyze and talk through their online presence. During the workshop, multimedia artist Leigh Davis will engage participants in a holistic dialogue about online identity, investigate how web and social mediascapes shape our interactions, and address new ideas and platforms to best serve your artistic practice.

Cost: $15 for NYFA-affiliated artists (Fiscally Sponsored, NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellows, Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program Artists) and $20 for the general public

RSVP is required. Discussion prompts will be assigned to artists via email in advance of the workshop. All participants must complete the prompts.

About Leigh Davis
Davis has created exhibitions and events for Green-Wood Cemetery, BRIC, Dixon Place, and Hunter East Harlem Gallery. Her work has also been featured at the Maryland Institute of Contemporary Art, Baltimore. She is the recipient of numerous awards and grants, including those from The Pollination Project, the New York Department of Cultural Affairs, and the Maryland Institute of Contemporary Art. Davis’s photographs have been featured in various publications including The New York Times Magazine and The Washington Post. Inquiry Into the ELE, a NYFA Fiscally Sponsored project, will premiere in 2019. She teaches courses at Parsons The New School for Design.
