Event | First Thursday Gallery Walk

Beat the summer heat and enjoy an evening of art in DUMBO on Thursday, August 3, 2017, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.

NYFA invites you to two events as part of DUMBO’s First Thursday Gallery Walk on August 3. View the exhibition Informality at NYFA Gallery, featuring dynamic works by select 2016 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship Finalists in a variety of mediums. This event will also feature additional programming from participating artists Jennie Allen and Walter Dundervill.

While in DUMBO, be sure to visit our neighbors at The Made in NY Media Center to celebrate the opening of NYFA Presents: Digital Profiling. The exhibition, presented in conjunction with NYFA’s Facial Profiling exhibition at C24 Gallery, explores the observed and projected self in both the digital and physical realms and subsequently invites the artist and viewer to interpret and/or project imagery as portrait. Works include visualizations that cross cultures, genders, conformity, and identity.
