#ArtistHotline: April 19 Artist Professional Development Day

During NYFA’s next Artist Professional Development Day, include the hashtag #ArtistHotline in all your arts career-related tweets to get answers and insights!

Join NYFA on Twitter for #ArtistHotline, a twitter chat designed for artists of all disciplines, on Wednesday, April 19, from 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM EST. We’ll be joined by artists, cultural organizations, and arts professionals from coast to coast and beyond, so be sure to come prepared with your questions!

At an impasse in your search for funding to support an exciting opportunity? Want tips for getting your art seen and expanding your network beyond the city you live in? #ArtistHotline is the perfect forum to get advice on topics like these and others.

As part of the day, we’re hosting a Guest Chat from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM EST, on Literary Submissions & Publishing. We’ll be joined by three writers with a wide range of publishing credentials: Elisa Gabbert and Hanif Willis-Abdurraqib, two poets and essayists, and Lincoln Michel, editor and fiction writer.

Here’s how you can participate throughout the day:

Want to participate but not sure how the day will play out? Try reading our Tips to Take Best Advantage of the Day. Then, follow NYFA on Twitter, and on April 19, tweet us your questions using the magic hashtag, #ArtistHotline.

Inspired by the NYFA Source Hotline, #ArtistHotline is an initiative dedicated to creating an ongoing online conversation around the professional side of artistic practice. #ArtistHotline occurs on the third Wednesday of each month on Twitter. Our goal is to help artists discover the resources needed, online and off, to develop sustainable careers.

This initiative is supported by the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation.
