Join NYFA at the College Art Association’s Annual Conference this February

Meet NYFA staff and learn more about NYFA’s resources at CAA’s Annual Conference.

NYFA is pleased to announce our presence at the College Art Association (CAA)’s Annual Conference from February 16 – February 18, 2017. Visit us at the Book and Trade Fair to say hello and to learn about NYFA’s diverse range of services, programming, and resources. Advance registration is open now through February 3. The conference schedule includes a wide variety of sessions, workshops, and special events, including Sharing Perspectives: Investigating the Impact of Art, a talk with David C. Terry, NYFA’s Director and Curator, Grants and Exhibitions, and Carina Kaufman-Gutierrez of Flux Factory.

In celebration of our new NYFA Coaching pilot program, we’ll offer two conference-goers the chance to win a complimentary, tailored Resume and Cover Letter Review session with NYFA staff. Attendees who sign up for our bi-weekly newsletter, NYFA News, at our Book and Trade Fair table will be entered into a drawing; winners will be contacted after the fair to schedule their NYFA Coaching session, which includes: review of a cover letter draft and resume, or artist statement; written feedback; and a scheduled phone call with a NYFA Coach to discuss next steps. The NYFA Coach will review the materials with the job listing, specific opportunity or industry, or potential employer in mind.

Sharing Perspectives is an international collaboration between Flux Factory, New York Foundation for the Arts, and Node Center for Curatorial Studies that engages people from different backgrounds across all sectors to contribute their thoughts on the impact of art both on personal, social, and cultural levels.
