NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowships in Poetry

NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowships in Poetry

The NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship “reaffirmed my faith in myself, my writing, and my chosen path to write and be an artist, creating the work that I most want to see in the world.” – Sheree Renee Thomas (Fellow in Poetry ’03)

NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowships are awarded to individual, originating artists living and working in the state of New York, with different disciplines being recognized each year. This cycle, submissions for Poetry will be considered and recipients awarded $7,000. It is not a project grant – it should fund the writer’s vision or voice, regardless of the career stage of their artistic development.

Accepted work includes original work in all forms of poetry, for either the page, the stage or a music
composition.
