Join NYFA on Twitter on Wednesday, December 21, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM EST for our monthly Artist Professional Development Day. Artists, performers, and writers in all disciplines, this is your day to ask questions and get the resources you need to build sustainable careers in the arts. We’ll be joined by leading arts organizations and industry experts, so ask away!

As part of the day, we’re hosting a special #ArtistHotline Guest Chat from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM EST, “Crowdfunding Strategies” with John T. Trigonis, Film & Creative Campaign Strategist at Indiegogo; Nia King, a multimedia journalist who has funded two books and a podcast through crowdfunding; and Jay Silver, an inventor whose Kickstarter-funded project, MaKey MaKey, was inducted into The Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection.

We’ll finish the day with a Twitter Q&A from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM EST with Sarah Corpron, NYFA’s Acting Director of Business Services, who will answer last minute questions you may have about the NYFA Fiscal Sponsorship application before the next quarterly deadline, December 31.

Inspired by the NYFA Source Hotline, #ArtistHotline is an initiative dedicated to creating an ongoing online conversation around the professional side of artistic practice. #ArtistHotline occurs on the third Wednesday of each month on Twitter. Our goal is to help artists discover the resources needed, online and off, to develop sustainable careers.

This initiative is supported by the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation.
